We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for our Autumn Conference 2019.

This year’s event will be held at the Portuguese Permanent Representation to the European Union on the 20 November in Brussels, with the pre-conference VSE General Meeting and workshop for members only on the 19th of November.

The Conference is an international event bringing together the key players working with victims of crime. Between 100 and 150 participants from victim support organisations as well as practitioners, researchers, experts, academics, government officials and criminal justice officials attend annually.

The theme of this year’s edition is ‘Victims’ Rights: Time to Act’ which will be the opportunity to discuss the current status of implementation of the EU Victims’ Directive but, more importantly, on providing a mapping of common gaps which indicate the need for improvement in all Member States and which create space for cross border debate and exchange of best practices hoping that all actors comprehend that it is necessary to keep improving victims’ enjoyment of their rights while they walk towards recovery.

This year’s conference full-day programme will be followed by a fundraising gala event at the vintage car museum in the center of Brussels – AutoWorld. Included in the event are a sit-down 3-course dinner, an after dinner speaker, live poetry and other performances.
