On Sunday 12 June 2016 a terrible mass shooting took place in Orlando, United States. The hateful attack targeted a community of LGBTI persons claiming many lives and leaving many others injured.
Victim Support Europe deplores these hateful attacks and we convey our deepest sympathies to the bereaved families and the injured victims. We stand in solidarity with the victims, the LGBTI community and with America in these terrible moments.Support for the victims and their families now and in the long term will be essential and we applaud the efforts of American service providers and communities in providing that care.
We stand in solidarity with all victims of the world who are targeted because of what they believe in, where they come from or who they love.
