Implementing and Enforcing the Victims' Rights Directive in the EU (Dublin, 14 November 2014)

This event is organised by the Victims’ Rights Alliance and will take place on 14 November 2014 from 9am – 5.30 pm in the Pillar Room, Rotunda Hospital, Parnell Street, Dublin 1, Ireland.
The conference will be launched by Minister for Justice and Equality, Ms. Frances Fitzgerald T.D.
This conference will focus on minimum requirements to ensure compliance with the Victims’ Rights Directive. In particular, it will cover the provision of information, support and protection and how this can be best achieved in practice. Analysis of the procedures and implications for non-enforcement of the Directive will also be discussed.
Speakers include David McKenna President of Victim Support Europe, Sue O’Sullivan, Federal Ombudsman for Victims of Crime in Canada and other victim support service providers and experts throughout the EU.
The Victims’ Rights Alliance will also launch a report on the morning of the conference entitled Implementation and Enforcement of the Victims’ Rights Directive in Ireland.
