VSE members Bílý kruh bezpečí runs helpline 116 006 in the Czech Republic which operates 24/7.
In last two years our helpline answered 8000 phone calls from victims of crime and domestic violence. In 80 % we received phone calls from women.
Seminar in the Parliament
On the occasion of the European Victims’ day Bílý kruh bezpečí (BKB) together with the members of the Board of constitutional law organized a seminar on the topic of “What do the victims of rape need?” The seminar took place in the Chamber of deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. The psychologists, therapists, sexologists, criminologists, investigators, prosecutors, judges, parliamentarians and representatives of NGOs joined the debate. One of the seminar’s outcomes was approved pilot project to open contact centers for victims of rape in the context of health facilities connected to the support network.
