ATENIN is a non-profit entity which began in late 2004 as an initiative of four professionals from different fields with the same concerns, criminological research, attention to victims and crime prevention. With this idea we contacted the Red Andalucía Emprende Foundation in Huelva who helped us give corporate shape the project and encouraged us to participate in the social economy providing us an indispensable technical advice for the effective constitution of our society.
ATENIN has managed two major projects: the Victim Support Service in Andalusia (SAVA) and the Family Meeting Point for situations of gender violence.
The SAVA in Huelva, managed by ATENIN since 2005 to the present, under public tender is organized in the form of a global project coordinated by the Provincial Delegation of Huelva and the supervision of the Directorate General with responsibility for Victim Assistance of the Ministry of Justice and Home Affairs of the Government of Andalusia. One of the objectives pursued by the Service is to provide guidance, support and guidance to anyone victim of a crime or offense from the triple legal, psychological and social perspective. This is a free public service that primarily provides information, advice and legal, psychological and social care, to all those who have been victims or injured by the commission of any crime or misdemeanor.
It is a service of provincial level that, in coordination with other institutions and services, aims at the prevention, elimination or reduction of victimization and satisfaction of rights for victims of criminal offenses gives them the legal system, through timely information , aid and earlier, coeval or after the criminal proceedings in the legal, psychological and social aspects interventions and appropriate administrative actions arising from the above.
The SAVA Huelva is composed of a multidisciplinary team of professionals with specialized training. Specifically it is composed of two jurists, a psychologist and a social worker in Criminology experts and additional specialized training assistance to victims of crime.
The second project, the Family Meeting Point for situations of violence, with the same provincial level as the previous and organizational unit, started in March 2007 and was set up as a public resource for the prevention of violence whose purpose was to ensure the right of the minors to engage with the non-custodial parent in situations where there was a process initiated by gender violence which had also issued a protection order with civilians.
